Hand forged vs cast
Hand forged handles are shaped one by one on the anvil, so each piece has slight variation. Cast iron pieces are uniform and cost less in volume.
Finishes
Powder coated (PC) and textured powder coat (PCT) finishes protect iron from rust indoors. For exterior gates, hot dip galvanised (HDP) is recommended.
